Through my previous post “Infosys Interview Process” I have noticed that many candidates have concerns related to salary, Location and Joining Date offered by Infosys. In this post I will share my personal experience and experiences shared by the candidates on these concerns.
Salary offered by Infosys
Many candidates believe that MNC’s offer hike in between 20% to 35% based on current CTC, and that is what we too expect from Infosys during HR interview. But when the candidates get offered hike in range between 5% to 10% or 40% to 50% percent, it surprised.
Actually Infosys has their pre-defined slots for salary based on designation levels. For example suppose for Senior System Engineer position (experience between 3 to 5 years) Infosys has slot between 3.5 Lakh to 5.5 Lakh.
If candidate having CTC of 3.0 Lakh at present and ask for 40% hike from Infosys that follows in the above said slot then without any negotiation Infosys will offer him/her the same or more, but if any candidate selected for this position and presently having CTC of 5 Lakh and ask for 25% hike then Infosys can best offer him with only 10% hike. This is how Infosys offer salary packages to the candidates.
Location offered by Infosys
During HR interview Infosys usually ask selected candidates to give three preferences for location in priority. HR will then check suitable vacant position against location mentioned by the candidate. If yes, then the candidate will get the location of their preference and if no then Infosys will check and let the candidate know for the location where the position is available. It is up to the candidate either to accept the location or not. If accepted it won’t be changed later on once offered and if not Infosys will send regret letter to the candidate.
So, always be sure to mention the location where you can easily join. Infosys never compromise on salary or location.
Joining Date offered by Infosys
During HR Interview Infosys will clearly let you know the criticality of the position. In 99% cases Infosys will give the joining date of your choice. Infosys itself have 3 months notice period. So don’t hesitate to get the joining date of your comfort. Also, once the position offered Infosys can compromise on joining date if some concerns.
